Reflections On Eternity
The Galaxy races more and more rapidly
In the endless expanse of the Universe
Approaching the contours of the future.
In the innermost depths of matter
Grows the pulsation of atoms
Increasing the heartbeat.
The new rhythm bursts into our souls
Dissenting with feelings and with memory
Waking up nostalgia in the subconscious mind.
The many-dimensional array of facets
In vain we do try calculating by reason
The secret of eternal foundations of the Universe.
The moments of rapidly waning life
We do thirstily catch, like priceless fragments,
Before they disappear in time.
By collecting the sample of pearls
We seek the connection 'twixt the fact and the faith
Driving away thoughts on the frailty of the real.
In the endless cosmic expanse
We do everywhere see the eternal creations –
So, we do have a chance of immortality!
